Bio: Barbara Gueldner, PhD, MSE is a licensed psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist who specializes in working with young children through young adults, and parents. Dr. Gueldner worked as a school psychologist for 10 years, serving students in preschool through high school in general, special, and alternative educational settings. Over the past 10 years, she has worked with children and their families in a university-based clinic, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and in primary care. She has a clinical practice in Steamboat Springs and is also involved in work that promotes resilience and mental health in schools, primary care, and the community.
Dr. Gueldner offers consultation, assessments, and therapy for common, as well as less common and complex developmental, behavioral, social, and emotional problems. She incorporates parenting support and skill-building into her services. Resilience education and promotion are a focal point of her work. She enjoys collaborating with educators, medical and mental health care providers, and community agencies.
